Default Wireless bmc4306 gone on 11.1

For the past week, my wireless connection has gone with Network manager under Gnome. Not sure if it's the latest kernel update.

My config:

	Kernel driver in use: b43-pci-bridge

          Encryption key:off
          Power Management:off
          Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

iwlist scan

Any help appreciated.

Have you tried updating your broadcom-wl driver package? Although your kernel module seems to have loaded ok?

I think this repo may help:

The BCM4306 does not use the Broadcom-wl package. That is for BCM4312
and BCM432X models.

To the OP, please look at the output of the command 'dmesg | grep
b43' and post the result. No kernel update should affect an in-kernel
driver - the new version just comes along with the kernel.

Default Re: Wireless bmc4306 gone on 11.1

Sorry guys, I finally found the problem : while trying to change wpa2 algorithm to AES, I also changed the tx power of my router. After that I could not see my router nor my neighbor's router so I thought I had a problem with the nic.

Setting the the tx power back to the old value corrected the problem.

Thanks anayway!
