I recently upgraded from 10.3 to 11.1, and wireless stopped working.
Hardware information gives the wireless adapter as: * PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection and the Kernel Driver as: * iw3945 Don't know what else to post. Any help would be appreciated. |

looks to me, you need to associate it with the wireless network. click network manager, select new connection & fill in the details.at the end, click save, not save & connect. then, click on network manager & select your network. You should be good to go then.
Andy

Thanks deltaflyer44:
After starting KNetworkManager, I noticed that when right-clicking on it, it said that NetworkManager is not running. Apparently, you have to give users permission to manipulate the network (an option on the General tab in YaST ==> Network Devices ==> Network Settings). Except that I didn't find any option for KNetworkManager, only for KInternet. Well, I am particular about that, KInternet seems like a solid tool. Anyway, wireless is up and running. Many thanks. |
