Default Wireless slow

I'm running openSUSE 11.1 with an Atheros AR2413 wireless network card using the ath5k driver. The transfer speed is slower than a snail. The bars % is saying it's at 60%. I've used the same card in the same computer running XP and the speed has been so much faster with the bars % being anywhere between 90% and 100%.

Any info to speeding this up?

That didn't work, still slow. I've experienced the same slowness using Mandriva 2009/2009.1 as well... I'll have to try a different driver.
