Default Wireless speed issues

Hi All,
Am new to SUSE 11.0, have previously used some of the earlier versions.
The issue I am having is that whilst my wireless is able to connect and I am able to browse the internet, it is very slow.
Currently my iwconfig is giving an output of:

Code:
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

wmaster0 no wireless extensions.

wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"BaseStation"
          Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: 00:1C:DF:40:78:C7
          Bit Rate=1 Mb/s Tx-Power=27 dBm
          Retry min limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr=2352 B
          Encryption key:3C03-A26B-6297-5C7B-97FC-5FDC-8484-657E-60D7-38B6-CAF6-3FFF-0C3A-7EFA-10DC-744E [4]
          Link Quality=72/100 Signal level=-44 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
Which I notice has my bitrate set to 1mb/s. Both the router and card are 54mbps and run as such under xp/vista/suse 10.2 (not ran this recently).

I have searching other threads and suggestions but to no avail. Can anybody assist please?

Thanks,

David

You have at least to add the firmware (rt73.bin) in /lib/firmware. Perform an advanced search in this forum against my nick. I have already solved this issue since i have (also) this stick

Hi, I am currently at work but will give this a try when I get home.
Just a quick question about the rt73.bin, will this work as in you are using a USB wifi stick whereas I am using a PCI wifi card?
Thanks
