I copied the file to the SuSE desktop and installed it by clicking on
it. Thought I would be in Linux heaven but when I ran the app the
following message is displayed “You do not have sufficient
permission to run: /usr/sbin/pppd Please make sure that kppp is owned by
root and has the SUID bit set.”
Uninstalled and re-installed several times with the same results; never
had a problem with past SuSEs.
How do I get permission?

Hi
You need to use YaST -> Security and Users -> User and Group
Management to modify your user to be included in the dialout group.
