Default wifi bug

I have tp-link 551g.
Instaled mandriva linux mad wifi drivers. Mandriva 2007.
Mandriva 2007 free live cd, instaled with windows xp sp3.

When I change mac address, I am no longer able to conect on wireless.

In windows no problem (dual boot system). conects to any mac address.

But in linux when i change mac address, no conection.

How to fix this.

Probably it is a driver, it works in windows, but how to fix this.

This is an openSUSE forum. Try a Mandriva forum.

You must face the fact that mad wifi is unsupported. If you switch to
compat-wireless and use the "official" driver, then the people on the
mailing list at linux-wireless@vger.kernel.org will be able to help you.

What card do you have? Please read the stickies in the wireless
subforum and report the PCI or USB ID's for your device.

This card has in fact _two_ native drivers, the new driver ath5k and the "out of tree" driver "ath_pci" (aka "madwifi" drivers).

If the ath5k driver built into openSUSE doesn't work with your card,
then you should install the version of compat-wireless for your
kernel. If you still have a problem after that, then the Atheros folks
will help you on linux-wireless@vger.kernel.org.
