Question No DNS with Wicd

Hi there!
I'm trying to install wicd to manage my network connections in a better way than with knetworkmanager.
The problem is that it connects, it gives me the ip but there's no DNS.
The ping command only works for ips but not for domain names.

Where would be the problem?

Thanks in advance

Default Re: No DNS with Wicd

I don't use wicd, never having had any issues with networkmanager, but a quick look at the wicd faq suggests it may be a problem with the dhcp client and that using dhcpcd instead of dhclient may fix it.

Otherwise you may need to review the known bug list at wicd...at which point you may think networkmanager would be a better choice

I've tried that with no good results.

It's weird why DHCP is not recognizing any DNS server.
