This weekend I updated my system with the latest Kernel (2.6.31) from Index of /repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_11.1. Now the USB device is working as it should. It is getting detected and when I plug it in, the system detects it as /dev/ttyUSB0,/dev/ttyUSB1, and /dev/ttyUSB2. I have configured it as modem (In the modem name field I gave /dev/ttyUSB0) using Kinternet, it is working perfectly as of now
