Angry Can connect to router, not to internet

This a strange problem which just came out of nowhere. I can connect to my router and its management web page both wired and wirelessly. However, I can't get to any sites either using their IP addresses or URLs.

I CAN get to websites from the router's management page using both IP addresses and URLs. I have tried this with two different routers, so I doubt that's where the problem lies. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I'm reduced to using Windoze!

I was hoping that the issue was something like IP6 which I overlooked. Alas, no go. I'm going to try to completely re-install. Thanks for the help!!

hope it works, but doubt it will....when you get back (if it doesn't
work) you need to supply some additional info with your next question..

and, don't give up after receiving the FIRST response..

see, Carl gave you the CORRECT initial response (considering the info
given) because IPv6 is the most likely culprit..

however, if you had come back and just said that that didn't work then
some network guru could have helped you FIX the problem, by asking
questions and directing you..

Patience is more than a virtual virtue. ;-)

If you haven't reinstalled yet, try editing into your NIC settings these: the IP of the gateway and the IPs of the two Name Servers that your ISP provides.

More about that here: HowTo Configure a network card in Suse/openSUSE 10, 11 for LAN and Internet Access.

Might help -- try it -- can't hurt

Re-installed Gnome twice. Nada. Installed KDE once. Bupkis. Installed KDE oncce more and, voila! Don't ask me why, because the only explaination I have is perceverience.

Of course, KDE might get sick....
