Default cannot connect to my wireless home network?

hello i have got a dell inspiron 1501 laptop,with a broadcom-440x 10/100 integrated controller and broadcom 802.11g network adapter and i have tried suse 11.1 kde and gnome but neither find my wireless home network?
the only linux distro that did this was mandriva.
when i try to setup network nearly all distros ask-ssid/mode/bssid/mac address/mtu
i can see i.p. router and mac address on my belkin router website but i am not sure about bssid?
any ideas how to get a connection to the internet please?

Go to the wireless subforum, read the stickies, and provide the info
requested there.

Just so you know, I have the same laptop as you and wireless does work. Just follow the guide & you'll be alright.
