Angry cinternet exits silently

cinternet suddenly refused to work today. When I try to connect to the Internet as usual with
Code:
cinternet -i dsl1 --start
it just does nothing. In verbose mode the only thing it says is "trying to connect local smpppd" and then exits without any other messages.
Code:
ps | grep smpppd
shows that the daemon is running, I also tried to restart it.
Code:
polkit-auth
lists "org.opensuse.smpppd.connect" among others. I checked my provider settings in dsl yast module - everything is fine there (as it was yesterday). I've managed to connect using good old pppd, but still want get smpppd working. What should I check?

Default Re: cinternet exits silently

Now after a reboot it works again. I still don't know what was the problem.
