Default ndiswrapper problems

I'm running the broadcom 4328ag wireless card on opensuse 11.1 GNOME and I'm having trouble getting it all set up. I get it installed and recognized by ndiswrapper no problem. I try to blacklist the replaced alternate driver : ssb. But when I enter

/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
i get :
bash: /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist: Permission denied

If I ignore this and continue with modprobe ndiswrapper -> rcnetwork restart then go to YaST I don't see network card. I assume network settings. I load that and get
warning that it is controlled by NetworkManager and changes won't be saved.

If i change it back to ifup and add the ndiswrapper I lose the Network manager all together and can only connect wired.

My question is
1.)anyone know how to get around the blacklist so I can clear that step (not so sure if it is entirely needed)
2.)how to get the connection setup using nm-applet(NetworkManager) or in such a way with YaST that I won't lose its function

Thanks

You are trying to execute /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist. It is a data file, and not
meant for execution. You need to edit it AS ROOT and add the module you want to
blacklist.

BTW, you are likely to have better results by using the Broadcom wl hybrid
driver instead of ndiswrapper and the Windows driver. Check the references to
this driver in the wireless subforum.
