Default ATI one-click install loaded Debug Kernel without network

I made the mistake of choosing the "one-click" install option from the /ATI Web page on my Toshiba notebook. I had to do this because a round of SuSE updates un-installed my ATI drivers which left my screen nearly unusable.

The "one-click" install did me the "favor" of installing a Debug Kernel without any network support. It has somehow removed USB support for my keyboard & mouse and set the network to local loopback. The primary kernel boot option is now set to skip run level 5.

I need to somehow get this notebook connected to the internet so I can try the "one-click" install a few days from now. (Typing to you from a workstation, not the notebook.) Right now the notebook is completely unusable for anything but Windows Worsta. Re-install is _NOT_ an option I'm willing to entertain. If that is the only recourse, I will install a different Linux distro.

I need options here.

Default Re: ATI one-click install loaded Debug Kernel without networ

I had same problem two days ago. I uninstalled ati drivers and debug kernel, and everything was OK. Then I downloaded ATI driver installer script, install drivers, and lost display . I had to edit xorg.conf to get display back.
