KNetworkmanager spots my wireless ap, but when i want to connect (i click on the line showing my ap) nothing happens. Since i have no clue at all what it can be i'm asking you guys for advice. My ap is functioning properly and I can connect if use ifup method in yast's network settings. I've just installed opensuse 11.1, it worked the first time, but when i rebooted it failed. I had just installed vpnc and networkmanager-vpnc. I tried to remove them, but it's still not connecting.

I had the same issue when I upgraded from 11.0 to 11.1. My wireless stopped working and my ethernet connection is very slow.

I'm having the same issue here.
I was able to run B43 drivers just fine in 11.0 In both KDE and Gnome. Now I'm using 11.1 in KDE only , and I can see my Wireless AP , but I am unable to connect. It just stalls. I'm new to KDE though (Alsways been a Gnome man ) , Not very familiar with Kmanager, Is it possible to switch back to the YAST2 Network manager ? |

Go to YaST2:Network Settings and in the Global Options tab, uncheck Enable IPv6. KNetwork Manager should then function properly. In any case, I believe that enabling IPv6 will cause Internet connection issues on openSUSE 11.1.

No unchecking ipv6 doesn't solve the problem.
Klemi, check in yast's network settings if you selected networkmanagermethod and not ifup. |

The same problem here.
Using ifup works fine (although only with static IP, with dynamic it has speed issues, I think it's renewing IP all the time), with networkmanager it just ignores clicks. Disabling IPv6 didn't help. What's weird that it worked before, and I can't remember what I did to break it, but I definitely did something - I had speed issues and started to play with configuration... |
