Could you tell me some more about your lan card, and the version of openSUSE you're using? I probably won't be able to help with your other problem, as I don't have a clue...

Default Re: DSL and LAN Problems

I'm using openSuSE 11.0 x86_64
The eth0 is a onboard VIA Technologies VT6102 [Rhine II] and the eth1 is a PCI Davicom 21x4x DEC Tulip compatible.

For the eth0 the following ifcfg-eth0:
BOOTPROTO='dhcp'
BROADCAST=''
ETHTOOL_OPTIONS=''
IPADDR=''
MTU=''
NAME='VT6102 [Rhine-II]'
NETWORK=''
REMOTE_IPADDR=''
STARTMODE='auto'
USERCONTROL='no'
PREFIXLEN=''
NETMASK=''

For the eth1 (LAN card):
BOOTPROTO='static'
BROADCAST=''
ETHTOOL_OPTIONS=''
IPADDR='172.16.191.1/24'
MTU=''
NAME='21x4x DEC-Tulip compatible 10/100 Ethernet'
NETWORK=''
REMOTE_IPADDR=''
STARTMODE='auto'
USERCONTROL='no'
IPADDR_Shinobu='172.16.191.1/24'
LABEL_Shinobu='Shinobu'

and the ifcfg-dsl0:
BOOTPROTO='none'
DEVICE='eth0'
MODEM_IP='10.0.0.138'
NAME='DSL Connection'
PPPD_OPTIONS=''
PPPMODE='pppoe'
PROVIDER='provider0'
STARTMODE='onboot'
UDI=''
USERCONTROL='no'
VPIVCI=''
