R11 - Net Text Config, not fully functional

Hi,
The Text interface for network configuration no longer contains the ability to set routes, fowarding, gateway.

The GUI interface now has tabs for these functions, but they seem to have never been translated to the text interface.

It would seen that the text interface is almost completely useless for network configuration... ie. ssh management of servers is not a possibility any longer....

Does anybody know if this will be fixed in the future.... Some of us think this is important feature.

Hi,

Not sure what you mean. All those settings you are missing are there:

Yast (in text mode) -> Network devices -> Network settings.

Specifically, if you go to the Routing tab you will find there all the options and text actions necessary to set a default gateway and configure additional routes.
Forwarding can also be enabled there by ticking the line

[] Enable Ip Forwarding.

When you get into Yast -> Network Settings in the text mode
you should have at the top of your screen those tabs. For example - press
"ALT-u" to set the gateway
