parallel computing clusters

I'm looking to start a parallel computing cluster with openSuSE to hopefully utilize RAM and CPU power from other computers. Does anyone know of any good way of going about this?

ok Doctor: do you mean a worldwide distributed computing cluster such
as SETI, or (say) on a college/government/company LAN, or even
smaller, in say just one office?

do you have the cooperative software to crunch at many places and
forward to a single collector/manager, or is that what you are looking
for?

i kinda wonder how did you settled on using openSUSE? [i mean, some
folks doing star gazing lean less toward 'cutting edge' eye candy and
toward more stable, dependables like Scientific Linux

openSUSE without KDE4 and rotating cubes can be very dependable,
stable and fast]

do you mean you want the controlling/collection point on openSUSE, and
all the contributors also...or, can any OS crunch and forward?

if i wasn't helpful, sorry...a few more specifics in your Q would be

A couple of years ago I wrote up somewhat detailed instructions on setting up a cluster on openSuse machines. I wrote it using openSuse 10.1, but I did eventually updated to 10.3 and there should be no difference which version is on there. The cluster was used by the physics department for educational use, but should be robust enough for pretty much anything you run on it. The cluster I work on now is much larger and uses SGE instead of Torque, but it basically works the same.

I'm looking to just deploy it in a small office LAN. I don't have any software to distribute, crunch, and collect. That's what I'm searching for. Is there existing software to do this?
