Default Hardware suggestion for a media center

Hi I am wanting to build a Linux, more than likely openSUSE based, media
center and looking for some suggestions on hardware and even software.
The biggest suggestion that I need is a good TV tuner card that will
work, the only problem I have with ATI is there horrible drivers. Any
other suggestions you have are welcome, this will be my biggest personal
use build yet and I want to do it right

Obviously the first place to look is: Hardware - openSUSE

If you do a google search on " opensuse media center " you will get many hits of such setups, and will be able to read various users efforts at this.

Thanks for the suggestions looking at the hardware list seems like
there are a couple that will work with 11.1 and hopefully up if I can
find them, most of them look older so most stores may not have it
anymore. As for software it looks like a lot of people have good luck
with mythtv, and I found Moovida
(http://www.susegeek.com/multimedia/m...dia-center-in-
opensuse/) which supports what I want the biggest thing is TV playback
(Analog?). I guess I should have said that I am in the U.S. so it
needs to support analog TV in what ever format that is used here.
