Default suspend to disk - icon on desktop

Is it possible to make a starter to hibernate the computer instead of trough the systemmenu. (single user system)

the reasons for this is:
There is a bug in mounting / unmounting partitions -that never appeared after a suspend- but happens at least once every 10 to 15 shutdowns.
(this error [Suse 11.1] happens on both PC and laptop)
Second reason is that a doubleclick is much easier/faster.
