Dear All,
I tried to uninstall the gnome policykit. This way, I have no password ti set to switch my machine off, but this is no possible to switch off anymore. I am really upset of this. I m trying suse to find something lighter than winxp but actually, my system is even heavier. To be in the obligation to give a root password to switch a machine off is something unbelievable. And that nobody knows how to change this is even worse. I cant believe every gnome user has to do that way ? This no progress at all. Jerome |

should have said two more things: 1. sorry i can't be more helpful, and 2. maybe you should post again, with a new thread and new subject like maybe: What is 'personal settings'/kcontrol when using Gnome then, give all your information in the first note, and wait for a french speaking Gnome expert to help you.. it is EASY to fix once you find the Gnome equal of kcontrol either in the menu system or by Alt+F2 popup.. -- palladium Have a lot of fun.. |
