What's going on is the OpenSuse install disc needs to be connected when installing Parallels tools but when you click install Parallels tools, it disconnects the OpenSuse install disc and puts itself in the virtual cd-dvd rom drive.

After experimenting, I found this to be a universal fix for all Linux systems that Parallels tools supports. You will need a USB flash device with at least 35MB of free space. I just used my cell phone.

1. From your OsX desktop open your harddrive/library/parallels/tools
2. Copy 'prl-tools-lin.iso' to your USB device.
3. Log into OpenSuse with Root user.
4. Connect the OpenSuse .iso cd-dvd rom image.
5. Connect your USB device.
6. Open 'Terminal', click and drag 'prl-tools-lin.iso' into Terminal, press enter, follow the prompts, restart.

This will work for most Linux based operating systems.
