Note, because you have the alsa-driver-kmp-pae package installed, there is a slight risk if the openSUSE-11.1 kernel is updated, it may break your sound. If that happens, you just need to conduct the same alsa-driver-kmp-pae update to get the latest version of alsa-driver-kmp-pae that will likely be built for a new kernel. We are fortunate on openSUSE that a SuSE-GmbH packager for sound (who is also an alsa driver developer) packages alsa rpms to handle openSUSE kernel updates.
