Is it normal that my wireless internet disconnects every couple of hours?
I'm using openSUSE 11.1 on a Toshiba L355-S7915 Just to note it's not my actual internet, because I check the modems and all the lights are properly lighted. |

It varies, but it's between 2-4hours, sometimes a little more (I think the most its done is 6).
And yeah it's not because my wireless modem is less than 20 feet away. I can literally be right next to it. And as far as I know we have the only wireless network around here. |

I tried looking up the Hardware specs for the wireless in your laptop, {chuckle}... "Realtek 802.11bg"...REAL useful.
Please could you post the output of Code:
lspci http:// linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download Download - Linux Wireless has (knock on wood!) solved my issues. (I've probably just jinxed myself by saying that though... {sigh}) Loni

All of their changes are in compat-wireless. It certainly is better than any driver in 2.6.31. |
