Default Toshiba L355-S7915: Anyone else tried to install on this?

I recently installed openSUSE 11.1 on a Toshiba L355-S7915 and was wondering if anyone else had any problems or if anyone else has tried to install Linux on this particular Toshiba model.

I had problems installing openSUSE with KDE4 on it. The mouse got kind of warped and some of the applications just flat out refused to work.

I reinstalled it with GNOME and it works like a dream. The only problem I really had was that the sound did not work which was fixed simply by coming to this site.

So again has anyone else tried to install on this model/had any problems?

You are most likely installing KDE 4.1 which has bugs that effect some machines. Disable autologin if enabled. Use Yast to install KDE 4.3 from openSUSE repository instead of the normal KDE 4.1 from the official DVD and this may work for you.
