My Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1950 works fine in Windows XP pro on my HP Compaq 6730s KS079UT lap top but not at all in Suse 11.1. I cannot install the firmware. I one click installed the ivtv firmware but nothing happens. I can see the name Hauppauge during the POST but Myth TV reports: "No Universal Plug and Play Device Found". I cannot configure the device via Hardware in Yast. I tried the lines of code at the Suse Wiki for "Hauppauge_WinTV-PVR_USB2" but 'dmesg' returns the error message: "Device fx2 controler firmware seems to be missing." Worse, Mike Isely's wiki is for people with PhD's in software engineering, not for noobs! What do I do? Suggestions?
