Default laptop suspend to ram wont wake up properly

my girlfriends laptop does not wake up properly after suspend to ram. i never used that options because i dont hab a laptop. so i dont even know where to start looking for errors.
its a opensuse 11.1 with all the latest patches.

when its supposed to wake up it stops in textmode. no key responses.

the wake up after suspend to disk works allmost fine. at least it gets back to graphic mode. only wlan wont work after that.

thx for help
