https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...20/+bug/109838 where the option "lenovo" worked for some, but not all, users. It will be interesting to see what the openSUSE/alsa packager/dev comes up with in response to your bug report. |

Further to that, I notice on the openSUSE HCL that 2 of the 4 users reported this problem (or something similar): HCL/Laptops/Toshiba - openSUSE
none of them reference a bug report, so its possible none of them raised such a bug report. |

if i had some 'more' time to spare i would have tried the C file patch that he has attached (in the ubuntu link u mentioned).
Yes, for them lenovo worked, but does not pick here. I have not yet heard from the 'suse debuggers', but i keep my fingers crossed ! |

Ok, thanks, they should ve mentioned it more explicitly for me to notice ! anyways done.

OK, finally i have been able to make them work by the same lenovo option !!
Bugzilla debuggers surely help i suppose! P.S: I have figured out through: HTML Code:
arecord -d 10 myrecording.wav |

In one sentence you state you figured out your mic. In the next sentence you state it does not work. |

well i just started another thread for the mic problem.. stating explicitly the problem !
Thanks for all the help. As for 'lenovo' option, its kindof 'unstable', in the sense that when i rebooted, suddenly the speaker & headphone both were uttering sound again.. until i replugged my headphone ! But anyways, some respite is there with headphone working at other times.. BTW, exactly the same thing happened when i was testing under your guidance, with headphone working once and suddenly it both started working, so i switched onto another one (and my syntax was correct!) Anyways, i hope the debuggers should do something about it ! |

IMHO if you wish to help the developers, you need to run the script when you headphones are not working properly, like you just described.
... and you need to run the script when its working properly, like you described, and then provide both script outputs to the developers so they can see the difference and understand the problem. |
