Default Ati driver on radeon 2600

Hi i am using Notebook with ATI Radeon hd2600 and driver 9.5 worked fine on SUSE 11.1, Then i tried to install 9.6 and x failed to start. In safe mode then used command "aticonfig --initial -f" and /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh", rebooted and x started. When i try to install 9.5 version back x fails to start, did i miss some settings or do i have to delete some config files before installing old driver?

Thanx in advance!!!

When going back to 9.5did you try the

aticonfig --inital -f

again to recreate a new one?

Anything in the logs that might point to a problem?

If you are gong to post them please try and snip anything that looks OK and
just leave any errors?

Makes it a bit easier on the old eyes here

:-)
