SuSE 11.1 64 bit issue with video

Hi,
SuSE 11.1 HP 6735s AMD x2, (64 bit)

luvcview works fine with the HP built in camera, and with Skype the light goes on and no picture is there.

I followed the

and a number of other suggested approaches. Still no image, even ffmpeg is not having any luck.

New to 64 bit, and really need an assist.
