keyboard locks randomly

I have installed opensuse 11.1 64 bit on a HP proliant 350G.
KDE 4.1.3 is installed.
The XEN kernel is used and one virtual machine is active.

From time to time the keyboard stops working. num lock is inactive and I cannot switch to a terminal with alt-ctrl-Fx.

The mouse is still responding and I can force a shutdown via menu with the mouse.
This lock occurs randomly: sometime many times/day but sometime the systems works more than one week.

I see a lot of error in /var/log/messages and each time that the lock occurs I see a message related to the DVD/CD-rom.

The last updates have been installed and except this lock all work correctly. This lock occurs mostly when nobody is working on the system (the screen saver is activated) but it can also occurs when I work on the server

this has happened a LOT lately....i don't remember the solution
(because i've not had the problem and do not read the threads) but
