I am trying to set up two new 11.1 machines. Printers are directly connected to lan, one old HPLJ5M and one HPCLJ2840.
When I try and set up printers in Yast I cannot get a list of drivers to show. The PPD file is showing as installed in Yast software management and CUPS files are in /usr/share/cups/model but when I try and find a driver I get error message "Error failed to create PPD datdabase" the details are "cannot access CUPSD on localhost" Never had this problem before and now I have it on two machines. Must be losing it somewhere. What am I doing wrong. Regards, Budgie2 |
