I have 11.1 installed on a PowerMac G4 (dual-800, quicksilver).
My PCI SATA card is detected, but hwinfo does not show that the driver is active. I have followed the instructions for activating the kernel module found here. Kernel module configuration - openSUSE I haven't been able to get it to activate and show the drives. Note: I use commandline only, can't get X to config properly for my vid card. System info: Suse 11.1 PPC Linux linux-5rho 2.6.27.29-0.1-default #1 2009-08-15 17:53:59 +0200 ppc ppc ppc GNU/Linux from lspci: 0001:10:12.0 RAID bus controller: Silicon Image, Inc. SiI 3512 [SATALink/SATARaid] Serial ATA Controller (rev 01) module path: /lib/modules/2.6.27.29-0.1-default/kernel/drivers/ata/sata_sil24.ko from /etc/sysconfig/kernel MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT="snd-powermac sata_sil24" Link to info from HWinfo (ran in yast) http://fuqed.net/sata.txt Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! Daren |
