ar5523 wireleess card
ndiswrapper version 1.53 ------------------------------ I instal frimware and drivers for card, as you can see: ndiswrapper -l athfmwdl : driver installed device (0CF3:0002) present net5523 : driver installed device (0CF3:0002) present but when I " modprobe ndiswrapper " nothing happen. what need to hapen when I enter " modprobe ndiswrapper ". SuSEfirewall2: Firewall rules successfully set ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- in yast, network settings here is how it looks for my lan card and usb wirleess: lan card: 82801G (ICH7 Family) LAN Controller MAC : 00:16:76:c2:59:1c Device Name: eth0 Started automatically at boot IP address assigned using DHCP wirleess: Unknown Network Device (No hwinfo) The device is not configured. Press Edit to configure. but when I click on edit button I cant chancge DEVICE TYPE its selected to enthernet, and whatever on the rest of tabs replace when I again run network setigns all apear to be blank. when I click on add button and do as it write in tutorila, ndiserapper suse tutorial on suse pages, I got this: Wireless Network Card (No hwinfo) Device Name: wlan0 Started automatically at boot IP address assigned using DHCP what is (No hwinfo) it seem to me it is not conected to the adapter (no mac addres, I am new to linux ) ---------------------------------------------------------------- and in hardwer information on my wirleess card (ar5523): Class (spec): Unclasssified device Class: Unclassified device ... ------------------------------------------------------------------- SOME OTHER INFORMATION: udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_cf3_2_1_0' info.subsystem = 'usb_device' info.linux.driver = 'usb' usb_device.product = 'AR5523 (no firmware)' linux.device_file = '/dev/bus/usb/005/003' usb_device.linux.sysfs_path = '/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb5/5-7' info.product = 'AR5523 (no firmware)' ------------------------------------------------------------------------ //////************************* my question: what need to hapen when I enter " modprobe ndiswrapper " in shell. after what when I done the light on adapter will start to light. as you can see, the adapter is same as main, but his on ubuntu work, and main on suse dont ![]() And again I will ask, what need to happen when I enter modprobe ndiswrapper when I enter it nothing happen. --------------------------------------------- And I think, something in the network settings must be done, because when I add new card it didint associate to the hardwer(settings for lan card is associate to the hardwer, in its settings I can see MAC addres and so on, but in wireless card settings no). --------------------------------------------- |

how can I found the name of the current drivers to put them in blacklist as it write in this guide:
