ATI 3d is enabled but sax2 says no 3d

I took a screenshot of my desktop when it was glitchy (enabled desktop effects) in case it would help any.

I don't mind trying the free driver called "radeonhd", does it support desktop effects/3d ?

How do I know if compiz fusin is enabled?

There wasn't much diference in the FPS for glxgears or fgl_glxgears when it was windowed or maximized.
