I've a Popular P300U Egprs Modem. I can't install this on my Opensuse 11.1 Version. My modem company doesn't give any driver support on linux.
In Windows XP its install USB to UART Bridge Controllers on Com Port 3. Its Silicon Lab driver. It also install Virtual Serial Port. In terminal window if i command "lsusb" then it show a device connected which name is "Cygnal". It also shows its vendor & product id. # lsusb Bus 005 Device 004: ID 10c4:ea60 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. Can anyone please tell me how to install & use this modem? |

This kind of modems should be automatically detected and setup under /dev/tty/USB0 Once connected the modem, to verify this point, run "dmesg | grep tty" and put the output here. You can use "kppp" (graphical tool) or manually setup "wvdial" to configure the connection settings (login, password, etc..). Greetings, -- Camaleón |
