Default keyboard SLOW for one user

SUSE 11.1 with 4 users on a desktop generic PC (nVidia chipset AMD CPU)

One user is not able to use her/the keyboard. It works fine to log-in to her account but then requires a keypress of about 1second+ for the keypress to be recognised (in openoffice or other app).

With some perseverence I am able to log-in to Yast through this account but can not see what to change to get it working.

The keyboard works fine in the other accounts!

Do I have to edit a 'config' file somewhere and/or is there a GUI way to get this to work. How/where do I log behaviours to see what's (& what's not) happening.

Is it possible to copy a file from one account to another or is there a simpler explanation for this behaviour and an means of fixing it?

Thanks . . .

Smile Re: keyboard SLOW for one user **SOLVED**

That link excplaining "slow keys" and showing how to turn them off is EXACTLY what I both wanted & needed.

Thanks VERY much.

Like so much, when you know it's so straight forward but if you don't know there is NO WAY to work it out!
