Default multiport 232 pci cards

I need 4 232 ports. I figure I might as well get a 6 port or 8 port PCI card (futureproof). I don't see serial cards in the hardware list.

There are 6 port cards using the Netmos 9855 chipset and 8 port cards using the ITE 8871 chipset. Internet searches are not very conclusive since whatever I can find is not in the current kernal.

Default Re: multiport 232 pci cards

Well I see a few people looked at this and am as puzzled as I am. Now I discovered that Netmos has changed it's name to moschip, which is why I couldn't find any data. I found these linux instructions
http://www.moschip.com/data/products/NM/linux.zip
However, it is not specific to the 9855. I'll try to contact the manufacturer.
