I recommend the Logitech 9000 Pro due to its very good image quality and its (usually) easy usage through the uvc-driver.
I've read about some softwere which does want you want. Unfortunately I can't remember its name. I'll report back if I find it. |

Thank you for the suggestions. I bought the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and it works well with UVC drivers and luvcview (and fswebcam-20070108 to capture pictures)
A note aside: I had to tweak a few include paths to compile libwebcam, but now it works. |
