Default Which webcam to buy???

Hi

I would like to set up a webcam and display the images on my site. There is SuSE 11.1 with apache running on my computer. Can anyone give some guidance what hardware works well? I need a camera with a wide angle view. And what software are you using to grab the images and store them as a file every few minutes?

Thanks in advance

I recommend the Logitech 9000 Pro due to its very good image quality and its (usually) easy usage through the uvc-driver.
I've read about some softwere which does want you want. Unfortunately I can't remember its name. I'll report back if I find it.

Thank you for the suggestions. I bought the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and it works well with UVC drivers and luvcview (and fswebcam-20070108 to capture pictures)

A note aside: I had to tweak a few include paths to compile libwebcam, but now it works.
