In KDE 4.0.4 the SUSE packages used the phonon-xine backend which worked, but for KDE 4.1 the SUSE packages uses the phonon-gstreamer backend with does not work. The fix is easy ether use YaST or zypper and install phonon-xine and restart KDE. -- "We must plan for freedom, and not only for security, if for no other reason than only freedom can make security more secure." I was getting the same (similar) error and this solution worked for me as well. The error message I was getting follows.
The audio playback device Intel 8280 1DB-ICH4 with ALC650F (Intel 82801DB-ICH4) does not work. Falling back to default. |
