    Question trying to load linux....error

    Hello,
im trying to load openSUSE-11.2-DVD-i586 on my laptop which is HP ZV5000pavillion 2gigs of ram 160 HD,
i downloaded the iso burned it and when i boot into install it gets to this one error

Unable to create repository from URL 'cd:/'
[!] Valid metadata not found at specified URL
    -can't hardlink/copy/var/mount/AP_0x00000001/media.1/media to/VARcache/zypp/cd-360fcae5kDM6BF

so i reburned it to a slower speed thinking it was to fast the first time, and still got same error at slower speed...

i'm using imgBurn program to burn also..

Also i have Win7 installed if that makes a difference?

any suggestions please? i would love to switch over from windows... Thankyou

You should check the md5 of the downloaded .iso and then later the burned dvd

Your downloaded iso is not OK. Perform an md5sum check on the ISO, it should be the same as the one on the download webpage. If this does not work due to a bad connection, import the download in some torrent program, and download it that way. Check it until it's OK. Then burn it at low speed and verify the burnt medium.

    this trio of cites:

    http://en.opensuse.org/Download_Help

    http://tinyurl.com/ycly3eg

should lead you to the ability to burn an absolutely perfect install
disk (and more need-to-know basic stuff).....don't attempt an install
until you have one which passes this test: http://tinyurl.com/yajm2aq

Start a new thread in the wireless section with the output of

    Code:
    /sbin/lspci -nnk
