HI all
I just noticed that there is a newer kernel 2.6.27.37 in the update repository for openSUSE 11.1. I checked the changelogs between 2.6.27.29 and 2.6.27.37 (Index of /pub/linux/kernel/v2.6) and could not find any changes which would force me to update given my current hardware. Do you think it would be good/useless to do so anyway? |

I find over 600 lines of changelog from 2.6.27.29 to 2.6.27.37 in the kernel-default rpm and a lot of stuff is not "driver-" or "hardware-specific".

But there is no driver on the ATI repository for 2.6.27.37, only for 2.6.27.29

So what?
If that driver _were_ incompatible, zypper would tell you. Did he?
