I saw only one of the other threads on this, and I'm amazed after
reading the linked page. My basic scanner and Samsung laser printer are not supported with Windows 7 (and were a breeze to install in Linux). Microsoft's own Age Of Empires II does not work on Windows 7. The only reason I've logged into Windows in a long time is to run the folding@home GPU client. Since I gave my video card to my mother when hers died, I haven't had a reason to log into Windows 7 at all. (The onboard GPU can't fold.) Like many others, I could go on, but it's kind of pointless. cjcox wrote: > On Wed, 2009-09-09 at 16:06 +0000, Caleb IX wrote: >> Read this please...so funny!! ![]() >> >> 'Microsoft's latest Linux lies - Computerworld Blogs' >> (http://tinyurl.com/kl7vow) >> >> "If that weren't bad enough, we have a completely unbelievable Windows >> lie: That it's safer than Linux." >> >> HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Actually it's pretty spot on. What's funny is all the threads on various Linux sites with people commenting about it trying desperately to convince themselves and others that it isn't.

Seriously? Windows Live applications' non-compatibility is a point against Linux?
So if people said; "The reason Windows is rubbish is because it doesn't come with grub", you wouldn't think they were being a teensy bit dissembling? Admittedly, I haven't seen the source material, but if they're actually claiming that "free updates" or "enhanced security" are pluses for Windows, they've drunk the kool-aid. Have you? [In fact, this link seems to have the original slides. No professional support available. How is that, in any way shape or form, true? http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/new...inux-users.ars Last edited by swerdna; 10-Sep-2009 at 15:13. Reason: fix link at author's request |

I don't have to convince myself that Linux beats the cr@p out of Windows in a lot of areas. I have first-hand experience with that
