Default What happened to the bbcode in signatures?

Why does my signature look like it does at the moment?
Funny thing is that when I click the preview button while posting this it shows up properly.. with centered links instead of bbcode.

It looks OK to me. You know some adjustment was made by Admin don't you?! To prevent spammers using code in their sigs.

Carl, if you aren't a mod, it's not OK. I discovered this by looking at the sig before logging in.

I think that when mods log in they get x-ray vision so they can look deeper for spam. Very strange.

See the ANNOUNCEMENTS forum for an explanation. We're currently testing ways to eliminate spam, including signature spam so the URL bbcode isn't currently allowed. The alignment should work so I suggest removing the URLs from the signature and trying the alignment with something else.

kgroneman,
My idea is you should only allow Global Moderator to use bbcode in signatures.

Thise is one solution

I think that's a bad idea because signatures are an important part of bulletin board culture. It's one of the few areas where community members can express their individual natures. To shut down bbcode for 99.9% of members would be like saying to them "everybody who comes here should wear a khaki shirt, nothing different".

You mean I *don't* have to wear this khaki shirt? Dangit! (You can tell
I live in Utah, can't you? )

As you folks can see, signature bbcode has been restored for trusted
members.
