This has been discussed several times & the consensus was, if your problem is solved & you want it marked as such, contact an Admin or Moderator & give them the details.

Let me guess, it's because NNTP doesn't support "such insignificant features".

If you notice the moderators really don't want a bunch of 'Unsolved' threads sitting around so after a period of time it gets changed to 'Solved' whether it ever was or not. Can't tell you how many times I've had to 'Unsolve' a thread. You also get the drive by posters that don't mark things as solved, they get their answer and leave, nobody knows if the solution worked or not. So I guess my opinion is it's a novel idea, but doesn't work well in practice. Not sure how I feel about 'kudos' either. Mostly they just seem to be gimmicks. |

Well, if I search on "wireless problem" and 70 threads come up, I would first go to the ones marked "solved."
Bugzilla marks things solved.... or resolved... which could be applied to things we give up on.
