Lightbulb Choose your forum interface

Some people like forums, some like listservers. When we're talking forums, some people like a web interface, some people like a news interface. If you like to read to keep ahead of the curve, some like RSS and some like email.

We've tried to supply an interface to cater to most preferences. Our main interface is the web based interface that most people are used to. However we do offer a news (NNTP) based interface for those that prefer to interact with the forums via a newsreader. You can also subscribe to any/all forums via RSS or via email notification. You can also subscribe to individual threads via email.

Whatever your preference, we're glad you participate with us because the forums are only as valuable as the people that interact here. Thanks for being part of our community.

Thanks for setting it up this way. I can't stand participating in web forums
with a browser, and have always preferred an nntp feed, and this way we can
all participate in the way that's most comfortable for each of us. I was a
little miffed at first that therewasn't an announcement about where the
nntp servers were, but I'm over it now....

It is a nice option -- well thought out.

Agreed. If it weren't for things like gmane and the NNTP interface here
and on forums.novell.com, there's no way I could keep up. Nice to be able
to access everything using a single program and in a single place (rather
than having to bookmark multiple sites in my browser).

(Sorry if this comes through as a duplicate, I need to remember to set
the profile *before* posting <g>)
