I once posted about how sometimes the summary or search pages of the forums would have links to the wrong threads. Well, it looks like that same bug is still stalking the forums, but in a different manifestation. Now I see several spam subjects (something about a cracked computer game: titanium or whatnot) on the summary page, but obviously the associated posts have already been nuked.

Surely someone familiar with the forum software can figure out why invalid posts are still being linked to? There must some cache entries that are not being flushed or something like that, no?

Surely we must be able to find one?

Can this be changed, or does it have more to do with the browsers?

Does anyone have suggestions, if it can?...

It will be a good idea if we could edit our topic subject like other forums and put solved in it. many people are lazy and probably won't do it but there is a "SOLVED" tool in Thread tools in LQ [linuxquestions.org] forum which is very helpful. That way people trying to help out others can save time not going through every topic and finding out who needs help.
Just my 2cents.
