i have had this hard drive for some time and have had no issues with previous releases but now it bogs down my system to the point of locking up after a few moments, as well as disappearing file options I.E. delete, cut, etc. the only difference i can think of is that the hard drive is in an ext3 format and i switched to ext4 for my system. there is nothing irreplaceable on the hard drive as i use it for dvd rips from my collection for deployments and such. if anyone has any ideas on why this is happening or even a way to reformat the drive to ext4 i would greatly appreciate the advice

I have a ATI Radeon 9250 and OpenSuse 11.2.
Should the default driver, RadeonHD 1.3, support OpenGL acceleration? I could not get it working.
The card is not very new and I thought it would be supported.

I have also an older Matrox G400 card.
OpenGL acceleration for it worked many Suse releases ago but not any more. ****!

When I installed 11.2 I allowed the installer to auto configure hardware and obviously had the 'enable IPv6' checkbox checked so I have /dev/br0 and /dev/eth0 where eth0 gets the IPv6 address and br0 gets the IPv4 address.

My machine is behind a router so it's local subnet of a 192.168.xxx.xxx. Is there really a need to have IPv6 enabled on a LAN and how can I disable it and remove the bridged connection?

Also, the YaST manager says that the network card isn't configured, but it's only reading from eth0 and br0 is nowhere to be found in YaST.

Thanks

Hi

I have an opensuse 11.1 64bit with latest kernel updates runing on a usb drive. OS was initially installed on an asus G1S laptop, and everything was working fine.

I changed the lapto to an asus laptop with an nvidia GeForce GT 240M video card. I just plugged in the usb to my ne laptop and after some reconfiguration got almost everything working.

Laptop starts fine (I am running gnome) and I can work fine as long as I don't swicth to terminal mode.

If at any time I do Ctrl+Alt+Fx then my screen starts kind of flickering. This also happens everytime I shudown the laptop or if I put it to sleep, when it comes back. The only way to solve this is to restart the laptop.

Any ideas?
