The problem: Trying to solve problems with your openSUSE installation there are a number of possible entries you can search for hints:
1. forums.opensuse.org
2. mail lists
3. wiki.opensuse.org
4. bugs at bugzilla.novell.com
5. openFate requests at features.opensuse.org
...
When testing factory - milestones using the wiki often is outdated. Even hints for stable releases are sometimes out of date. Using the forums is even harder: You'll find some not working / out dated / not answered / chit-chat.
My wish for a better integration of the wiki and the forums:
1. One sticky thread on top of each forum with an index of related wiki pages
2. People in the forums adopting a page of the sticky index starting a not sticky thread.
Regarding 2. :
All users are allowed to edit the wiki, but we don't, we have to much respect, being unsure, if it might be somehow wrong what we think. If there is an adopter of a wiki page starting a thread in the related forum a normal user could suggest a wiki change. Or the user might even have the courage to edit the wiki leaving a note in the related thread.
Should a WikiPage adopters thread (like: "WP - XXX configurations") be a sticky one?
The thread will change to top position automaticly and you will see when changes of wiki pages happen in the forums, if adopters comment...
