    Anyone really

OK, linked to the libdbusmenu-qt from KDE:Qt and it's building, so should have a build for 11.3 soon.

I don't think it worked for Gtk apps but I'm not 100% sure about that. It looks like we'll find out soon enough thanks to Malcolmlewis.

I installed the plasma-widget-menubar. But I can't seems to get very far with it. The widget generally only displays a generic "File" menu, that contains only one menu item, "Close". Hrmmmph ...

OK, so I asked Google about it, and I found this page here:
Getting menubars out of application windows Aurliens room
Two things stand out for me. First, is that it apparantly does support not only Qt but also Gtk applications.
GTK+-based applications running on a KDE desktop will be able to get their menubars displayed in the Plasma panel. Same thing for KDE applications running on the GNOME desktop. My colleagues are busy finishing the GTK+ implementation right now.
This sounds very cool, and should come really handy for people with a crush MacOS-X-ishness.

Second, and I am not quite sure what it means exactly:
This is implemented as a patch for Qt. Right now the code is quite experimental, misses a few features and crashes when it feels like it. It should thus be considered a proof-of-concept implementation. If you feel adventurous, you can install the patched Qt version as well as the Menubar widget from [...] the Unity PPA.
Does this mean that in order to get it to work properly it does not only take the plasma widget, but also a patched version of Qt??

OTOH, if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work.

I haven't been able to get it to work properly in any other distro. It must be the Qt patch - or lack thereof.. That was back in May. Perhaps the patch hasn't made it upstream yet or Nokia hasn't incorporated it. Don't know. It sucks though, for those who'd like a Mac experience with Gtk and KDE apps in KDE.

    Hi
Looks like that, else y'all need to create a patched version of
    QT.....

Maybe can look at things when 11.4 arrives, should have a stable base
    to work on.
