Yes, I just updated the kernel without any problem. It also reinstalled the kernel-source and Nvidia driver automatically.

All well here too, found out today that the NVIDIA driver from the repo does work after a kernel update.....

It installed fine for me but after a couple days it locked up so I returned to 2.6.35 as my daily use kernel.
